Nicole Kidman, who has adopted children, is now looking at the possibility of fostering. The actress has two adopted children, Isabella, 24, and Connor, 21. Nicola also has two daughters who are 6 and 8 years old. Nicole however wants to expand her family even further.
Kidman was quoted as saying “”I’m one of the few people in the world who has experienced so many different forms of [becoming a mother].But I haven’t had the child from a donor egg. I haven’t also been a foster mother and I’m very interested in that… But I did foster a child that I met through school, an aboriginal boy.”
Kidman states that she feels the same way about her adopted children as her biological children and feels this should be no different with a foster child. At Pride Fostering, we expect our foster carers to be able to treat a young person in their care in the same way they would their own child, to treat them as part of the family and make them feel accepted. This helps a young person feel special, wanted and included and helps to build trust.
