We understand that for a child or young person moving to a foster carer can be a difficult time and experience.
Our team is on hand to help you through your placement and with understanding fostering. Alongside your own social worker your foster carer also has a social worker who you can talk to at any time if you have any questions or concerns.
We have a children’s handbook which will be provided to you by your foster carer at the start of your placement.
The guide covers:
- Important dates for you in foster care
- Information about Pride
- School matters and education
- Health matters
- At what age can you..?
- Procedures should you need to complain
- Help and advice
- Common questions
We hope the guide is useful for you and covers the questions you may have and gives you knowledge on new areas or experiences.
